Didn't feel so bad today, don't think we have wanted to cry at all because the odd sniffle or tear over the telle novella doesn't count. Didn't want to do much else and often don't when we have a better day after lots of shitty ones incase something happens that pushes us back down again. An essential thing got done at least.
Feeling a bit angry that we have been abandoned unable to do anything about it before now but what were supposed to tell schools when they say the lad may need to see a professional about something, "yeah I hear you but me and my murdered trafficked sisters didn't have many or sometimes any experiences of being treated appropriately by professionals in their professional settings growing up we just more abuse and there wasn't and still isn't any relevant and safe authority to complain to about it and soo many people from soo many professions and backgrounds have tried to hurt him or said they were going to kill him so its kinda tricky for me to take my son to any appointments particularly when I feel so effected by it all that speaking words and leaving the house is extremely challenging for me.."
-3 prescription required for his eyes.. He's been responding well to the advice to take more breaks with screens and reading and We are going to do the best we can to support and enforce it as much as we can.
Mines arnt too good either but I would need to do stuff for the free eye test and help with the prescription..
Reached the end of all currently available episodes of "Jane". Love the bits when they do homage to other genres or shows. Its had us properly laughing out loud a few times, one of the most recent and loudest was when Rougelio met his inner critic. Really enjoyed all the different Janes, thats been so cool. Impressive characterisation and development, especially Petra, the narrating and all the fourth wall smashing and recognition of political climate. Bit concerned about what is going to get us through now. Quite liked the Michael Douglas older dude actor thing and not just because its great to identify with a character overing needing to pee constantly, hope there is more of that soon.
Its got us wanting to write more and wishing we had something better to write on. Wrote some notes for the " About" page would be nice to have something coherent there, focusing on the themes of denial and survival. Think the portrayal of people knowing and caring about each other in shows has gotten a bit easier to bare now that it doesn't feel as impossible as it always has been. We of course only have the lad in our life but we don't have uncomfortable, infuriating, triggering and risky relationships of any kind with others that destroy any hope of ever knowing real people in any kind of long term way either. Crazy lonely though but that's extremely expected if your spectrum offspring is the only person you spend time with or talk to even if you dont have decades of dissociation and horrific experiences to make sense of.
